Thursday Night Football Betting Primer Las Vegas Raiders @ Los Angeles Rams (+6.5 | O/U: 42.5)
Game Preview:
The reigning Super Bowl champion Rams host the Las Vegas Raiders Thursday night in an inter-conference Thursday Night matchup.
No team since the merger has fared worse in their title defense than Los Angeles. Injuries have hijacked the Rams’ season, as the team lacks the necessary depth to overcome the absence of contributors such as All-Pro’s Aaron Donald, and Cooper Kupp.
Conversely, the Raiders have failed to meet expectations themselves. The team had signaled prior to the season its intent to ‘win-now,’ but stumbled out of the gate to a 2-7 start. Las Vegas has found some rhythm since, having won and covered in three consecutive games, and look to do so again in an effort to keep their playoff hopes alive.
The Raiders should win this game fairly easily. Running-back Josh Jacobs projects to continue his illustrious streak on the ground, and, despite the presence of All-Pro CB Jalen Ramsey, the connection between QB Derek Carr and WR Davante Adams shouldn’t stagnate. Further, Las Vegas’ chief deficiency has been their defense, but the unit catches a break as they prepare to face-off with backup QB John Wolford.
With that said, the Rams gave Seattle all they could handle last week, and haven’t yet signaled their conceding to this being a lost season. Vegas has every advantage in this game, but they have let down in the past, and we cannot blindly bet them at this number.

As of writing, greater than 70% of both tickets, and cash wagered has come in on Las Vegas to cover the spread. Is such adoration warranted? Or are the Raiders prone to falter in covering such a large number.
