Free NBA Bet: Thunder Keep Scoring Chicago Bulls @ Oklahoma City Thunder (+3 | O/U: 232.5)
The Bulls visit Oklahoma City the day after Thanksgiving, and find themselves as three point road favorites over the Thunder. The money and the bets have been pouring on Chicago, moving the line off of Bulls -1 at open. However, we choose to attack this game from a different angle.
The Thunder have been the best Over team in the NBA this season, much due to their current streak of eight straight games to the Over. On this streak, Thunder games have averaged a combined 252.25 points scored, and it would be foolish to expect a sudden drop in production opposite the Bulls.
Admittedly, it is unwise to blindly bet streaks, but this is too good a spot to pass on. Neither team is dealing with any injuries of significance, nor should they be able to match up with eachothers best players. Additionally, the Thunder play with the fourth highest pace in the NBA, and should influence Chicago’s thirteenth rated unit to push the tempo as well.
Those who are skeptical may point to the Bulls’ 11-7 record to the Under, but the team has tended Over on the road. And while Chicago’s offense has been stagnant for stretches this season, the team found some rhythm early in the week, going Over their team total in games versus the Celtics, and Bucks. This is an opportune spot for Chicago’s offense to continue to roll, as the Thunder have one of the least efficient defenses in the NBA.
This will be the largest O/U that both teams have had all season, but it is likely that the Total is still too low. The Thunder’s streak to the Over exhibits longevity, and they’ve beaten the O/U by an average greater than twenty points on this run. There are no major injuries to note, and no reason to suspect the scoring to suddenly stall. Ride the bus until the wheels fall off, take the Over 232.5 -110
