Sunday Night Free Bet Chicago Bulls @ Sacramento Kings (-2 | O/U: 237.5)
Sundays are typically dominated by the NFL slate, and rightfully so. However, such an intent focus will occasionally provide an opportunity to profit elsewhere.
For those who have not been paying attention, the Sacramento Kings are one of the better teams in the NBA. They have both depth, and shooting in spades, and have alerted the rest of the NBA of their formidability. The Kings began the season a disappointing 0-4, but have since streaked to a 12-9 record, good for 5th in the Western Conference.
The Bulls, conversely, have thoroughly disappointed thus far. Chicago finished the 2021-2022 season 46-36, good for sixth in the East, and their best finish since the 2014-2015 season. Since, nothing has broken their way. Their 9-13 record indicates that this past season may have been a fluke, and signals how sorely they miss the presence of G Lonzo Ball. Further, Chicago’s ATS record has been particularly grim of late (3-7 ATS over their last 10), and it feels doubtful they contend in Sacramento tonight.
In the wake of their 0-4 start, the Kings have been particularly excellent at home (6-1 SU, 5-2 ATS). Much of this can/ should be credited to the Kings raucous home fans, an advantage which should once again pay dividends this evening. Chicago has had plenty of recent experience playing on the road, as this game will mark the end of a six-game road stretch for the Bulls. Despite this, such experience isn’t worth much when it coincides with lackluster results.
The best advantage Chicago has tonight is that the Kings will be playing on a tail-end of a back-to-back. However, Sacramento beat the Clippers so thoroughly on Saturday that none of their starters were asked to play extensive minutes, and it would be foolish to attribute any weight to this being their second game in as many days. Further, teams playing the second game of a back-to-back this season have a greater than .500 record ATS.
The Kings have a noticeable home court advantage, and depth which should frustrate the Bulls. I don’t trust Chicago to finish off their six-game road stretch strong, nor do I expect the Kings to falter on the tail end of a back-to-back. This number is too short, and late to give the Kings the credit they deserve at home. Bet Sacramento to end the Bulls road trip with another loss.
Bet: Kings -2
